Utah Rio FC, headquartered in Pleasant Grove, was founded in the Spring of 2021 and began its first season with four teams. With dedicated leadership from founder and CEO Diego Godoy, along with a talented coaching staff, the club quickly established itself as a competitive force. Two years later, Utah Rio FC has grown to 16 teams and has experienced significant success on multiple podiums, as well as promotions to higher divisions. As we move into the Spring of 2024, Utah Rio FC continues to be driven by its commitment to player development, coaching excellence, and a passion for the beautiful game. Let's go Rio!

Diego Godoy, a native of Argentina, was born and raised with a love for soccer that eventually led to a professional playing career. After moving to the United States, Diego continued to pursue his passion for soccer by playing at the semi-professional level. Following his playing days, he transitioned naturally into coaching. Drawing on his experience coaching his own children at various clubs, Diego recognized an opportunity to pursue a long-held goal: starting and managing his own soccer club.
